I completed a Windows update back in October of and noticed the red x over my volume icon. I had an error message that there was no audio output drivers installed on my machine. After trying the fixes listed, I ended up installing a driver from intel's website directly that gave me some volume back but it wasn't nearly as loud. I just completed more Windows updates and again the red x is back. I was looking to see if Microsoft released some type of fix since this is happening after an update from them.
If I have missed it my apologies. It seems that several people have experienced this issue. Any help to get my volume back the way that it was before the October updates would be so much appreciated.
